Lockdown measures continue to ease in Wales.
In Cardiff, the shops are open, as well as pubs, restaurants and hotels. The city centre has been transformed with one way systems, including on the streets, and designated cycling lanes have been widened.
Those living in Cardiff can now meet up with friends and family indoors, as long as they are part of an extended household. The changes will mean people can have physical contact, exercise, cook and eat together. People cannot swap and change once they have formed a so-called bubble.
Currently, you are able to go for a walk, run or cycle as often as you want, as long as you are not in large groups and are at least 2m apart.
Social distancing or physical distancing should be 2 metres (3 steps away) from others, indoors and outdoors. Washing your hands regularly is still encouraged.
Can I book a holiday in Wales? Yes, you can. If you are looking to book a staycation in Cardiff you can holiday with members of your household or extended household in hotels.

Checking In
Whilst you can still expect our usual swift and friendly welcome upon arrival, there will be some noticeable changes such as physical barriers at the front desk along with social distancing floor markings. and hand sanitising stations.
Our hotel team will be giving extra care and attention to sanitising pens, room keycards and card payment terminals with disinfectant. You may also notice our team more often in high footfall public areas, cleaning and sanitising high touchpoints such as front desk, restrooms, door handles & lift buttons.
Contactless Temperature Checks
As an increased precaution and protection for our staff and our guests, from the 21st of September 2020 Future Inns will be conducting contactless temperature checks upon arrival at our hotels. Upon check in to the hotel, or for non-residents using our restaurants our reception team will carry out contactless temperature checks for all guests. Should any guest fail a temperature check they will be offered a second check after 15 minutes. In the event of a failed second temperature check guests will unfortunately not be permitted to stay at the hotel and their reservation will be cancelled free of charge.
During your stay
We politely request guests to ensure they wear face masks in public areas and hotel corridors.
Upon check-in, you will be asked to complete a COVID-19 self-disclosure.
Where possible we kindly ask guests to use the w/c in their hotel rooms rather than public restrooms in the hotel.
We are operating a reduction in occupancy of our elevators for our guest safety.
Occupied rooms at the hotel will not receive a full service. Housekeeping will be provided with an ‘On Request’ system. If you would like clean towels, your hot drink tray replenished, or any other item for your room, please let reception know and we will then leave the requested items outside your room door.
All non-essential items have been removed from guest bedrooms such as slippers, bathrobes, bed runners, cushions and literature to help us protect our guests and staff during these unprecedented times.
As an extra precaution, we are committed to keeping rooms empty between stays as long as possible.
Please heed safety notices and floor markings around the hotel.

We have split the information for you, here's what you need to know before you visit. This information will also be applicable for any tourist attractions you may visit, and on public transport during your stay.

During the National Lockdown for England from the 5th of November until the 2nd of December 2020, our hotel restaurants in Bristol and Plymouth will be closed. During this time Room Service will be available to all guests, offering options for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Our restaurant in our Cardiff hotel is open for breakfast and dinner, plus room service is also available. Tables can only be booked up to 4 people unless you are from one household.
The following measures in place until further notice:
• You must make a booking. This allows us to maintain safe distances between customers and to keep track of the number of people on the premises at any one time.
• Our popular hearty breakfasts will still be available however buffets are currently suspended.
• The lunch and evening menus are still running, and still have a lot of choices. They are changing all the time, and may not have your favourite dish that may be listed on our website.
• In order to help reduce the risk of a local outbreak of coronavirus, we are taking contact details for customers, as well as recording times entering and leaving our premises.
In line with guidance issued by the Department for Health and Social Care, we will keep your details for 21 days. We will share them with Test and Trace personnel, if asked, in the event of a fellow customer or staff member testing positive for coronavirus. Data will be handled according to GDPR, security and ethical standards at every stage of the process – from its collection and storage by us to its transfer and use by NHS Test and Trace. NHS Test and Trace will handle all data according to the highest ethical and security standards and it will be used only for NHS care, management, evaluation and research. We do not use these details for marketing, or do we pass or sell them on to other 3rd party organisations.

Our safeguarding measures include daily health checks of our team. PPE will be provided where regulations deem it necessary. All staff communal areas and back of house areas such as our kitchens will be observing social distancing.
